Idemitsu Technofine of Japan has recently developed a new protein leather fabric called Sofiless, in collaboration with Nissan and Komatsu Seiren.
It contains special protein powder derived from eggs and Nissan will use it for the door-rests, centre console-lid and kneepad of its 2010 Fuga.
