Cereplast to launch algae-based resins |

A technology to transform algae into bioplastics is being developed by Cereplast, based in Hawthorne, California, USA, and now the company intends to launch a new family of algae-based resins that will complement its existing Compostables and Hybrid range.
The algae-based resins could replace 50% or more of the petroleum content used in traditional plastic resins, the company says.
